One the most-eagerly awaited car by some margin, the revolutionary little Tata Nano will likely roll down the roads in Thailand the middle of this year. The Tata Nano had a troubled birth, which had delayed its entry into the world market. The Tata Nano is not just cheap,, it's funky, it's cute, and in a time of increasing environmental awareness, the Tata Nano makes the right statement as well. It's not clear if the diesel version will come to the Thai market, while the basic version of the Tata Nano will have no air-conditioning, and a bare-bones trim, Tata understands that there will takers for the car who will be willing to spend more than the bargain-basement price for a few creature comforts.
Tata will offer such buyers the option of customizing their Tata Nano's, with everything from power-steering and leather seats, to body kits and alloy wheels. The Nano is powered by a 624cc petrol engine, producing 33 real horsepower and has a maximum speed of 85 kilometers per hours, consumes one liter of gasoline every 22 kilometers, and plans are to develop the Tata Nano to Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards in future.
